Forward modeling of clouds in a submitted Nature paper

In a submitted Nature paper by Hoch, Rowland, and 28 others, we detected a silicate absorption feature in the extremely young, direclty imaged planet YSES-1 c.

I performed forward modeling using the atmospheric modeling code PICASO and the cloud modeling code VIRGA in order to determine cloud properties like composition, crystallinity, cloud base location, and mean particle size.
